A Form 13.1: Financial Statement (Property and Support Claims) is required if you are making or responding to a claim for child or spousal support is being made in Ontario. What is it?
In Ontario, if you are making or responding to a claim for property (or debts), a Form 13.1: Financial Statement (Property and Support Claims) must be completed. The form should be completed even if your case also involves support issues as long as there is a claim being made for property and/or debt as well. The form should NOT be used if a claim is only being made regarding child support or spousal support. Instead, a Form 13: Financial Statement (Support Claims) should be completed. Once your Form 13.1 has been filled out, Neighbourhood Notary can help you commission it. Thereafter, your Form 13.1 should be served on the other party (via Affidavit of Service) and also filed with the Court. |
