If you are applying to take your Medical Council of Canada (MCC) qualifying exams to become a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) you will need to submit a notarized copy of a Certified Identity Confirmation Form as well as a notarized identity document. Neighbourhood Notary can help you notarize it.
The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) Qualifying Examination
The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) provides a standardized assessment of physicians in Canada via a qualifying exam known as the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I. As of June 10, 2021, a second qualifying exam known as the MCCQE Part II was cancelled. Graduates of accredited Canadian medical schools, medical schools listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, or United States Schools of Osteopathic Medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association, may complete the MCC examinations. The MCC will grant a qualification in medicine known as the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) to physicians who have met its requirements. The LMCC is NOT a licence to practice medicine (this responsibility belongs to the provincial and territorial Medical Regulatory Authorities). This is a way of ensuring a licensing standard for independent practitioners in Canada (find out more information on this licensing pathway here). |
