Transport Canada Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
As per Government of Canada / Transport Canada, effective October 30, 2021 air passengers departing from Canadian airports, travellers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, and travellers on non-essential passenger vessels on voyages of 24 hours or more, such as cruise ships, will need to be vaccinated. It is important to know the following if you are considering applying for a religious exemption from AeroMexico:
- Religious COVID-19 vaccine exemptions only apply to nationals and legal residents of Canada, flying out of the country.
- You must submit the completed religious exemption form to AeroMexico at least 21 days prior to your flight to [email protected].
- AeroMexico will approve exemptions at their sole discretion.
- As of June 2022, if your religious exemption is approved you will still be required to submit one of the following in order to fly: (1) molecular test taken 72 hours before departure; (2) antigen test taken the day prior to the scheduled flight; or (3) proof of prior COVID-19 infection (test results must be at least 10 days and no more than 180 days before departure of the last direct flight to Canada).
- If your religious exemption is approved, it is valid for all flights taken in a three (3) month period.
